Zoe Zacchino was
born in Pennsylvania and became a
versed traveler by the age of six.
Affinity for nature and human
interaction continue to drive her
spirit to create. She has always
maintained a humble perspective
about painting. She describes the
authenticity of her work "as coming
through her, rather than from her".
Zoe has been an artist on all levels
since early childhood. Her lifetime
mentor remains her grandmother
Jordan Alexander. "My grandmother
was a figurative abstract artist and
master of nudes. I would watch in
amazement with every stroke. She
introduced me to the Metropolitan
Museum of Art in New York.
Zoe has lived all over Italy and
Sicily. Through immersion in many
cultures and studying European
architecture, she has transformed
her many subjects such as Angels,
Buddahs, flowers and amorphous
shapes, which continually evolve in
color palette and texture.
Although Ms. Zacchino has resided in
Phoenix, Arizona for the last ten
years, she is now proud to call
Wilmington her new home. |
